Financial model template for a retail business. Retail is the sale of items and services in small quantities to customers in-store or online. The model uses a detailed breakdown of revenue streams, direct costs, and indirect costs to estimate operating assumptions on a per unit, as % of revenue and growth basis.

All the fixed assets, current assets, and liabilities are calculated to ascertain the financial position and solvency of the business correctly. The model then uses Break-even analysis, Scenario analysis, ratio analysis, and Discounted cash flow.

There are 3 versions you can download, separated according to the number of products in the store. You can download the 4, 10 & 20 products model.

This model provides a framework to forecast the next 12 years and correctly value the business in case of any investing/acquisition need arises.

Reviews

  • Looks valuable but missing charts

This model is one of few that offers 12-year valuation, but it is missing charts. nice to see WACC sensitivity. would love it if it had monthly as well, at least for first 3 years. Also, multiple valuation options would be great.

question: since all retail business is not online, would it help to have online/ecommerce related details? i.e. traffic by channel, CPC, CLV, AOV, etc.
