Refund Policy

At eFinancialModels, we are committed to providing high-quality financial modeling templates and services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our customers and vendors. At eFinancialModels, we are committed to transparency and fairness for both our users and vendors. This Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Use and is presented to all users prior to completing a purchase. Please read our refund policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. Digital Product Sales (Excel Templates)

All purchases of downloadable digital products (including but not limited to Excel templates, model toolkits, and spreadsheets) are non-refundable. This policy is in place because:

• Our products are digital and instantly downloadable upon payment. Once a product is downloaded, we have to assume that the user will always have access to the downloaded file.
• Digital files—once downloaded—cannot be returned. Due to the nature of our digital products, all sales are final and non-refundable.

Once the files are delivered, we cannot revoke access or “take back” the product. We also clearly state this on the Checkout page.

The value of our products lies in the proprietary structure and formulas, which, once revealed, cannot be returned.

• We sell our products “as is”, and we cannot just take them back.

We encourage all customers to review product descriptions, screenshots, and any available sample content carefully before purchasing.

We also provide screenshots and detailed product descriptions to help understand the structure of our Excel templates. Furthermore, we recommend downloading the FREE DEMO versions of our products, which explain in detail the model structure of the template.

We would like to clarify that we cannot accept the following arguments to issue a refund:

• Wrong product purchased: Please note that the templates available on our website are from different authors, which, in most cases, makes it impossible to just exchange one product for another without violating the vendor’s copyright.
  
• Do not like the template: Please note that we sell our products “as is”, and we cannot just take them back. These templates are often still kept on file, and many times are referred to even years later. However, please get in touch with us to give us feedback on our products. We will try our best to address it.
  
• Do not need the template anymore: Even if the product has not been used, this does not qualify as a defective product or a valid basis for a refund. The user can always save the template for future use and reuse it for their subsequent projects. Vendors invest significant time, expertise, and effort into creating these templates, and they are usable for projects in the future. For this reason, we must protect their work and cannot accept this argument.
  
• Compatibility with Software other than MS Excel: Our templates are designed for use with Microsoft Excel unless otherwise stated (e.g., a Google Sheets version). Attempting to open Excel templates with third-party spreadsheet software (such as LibreOffice, Numbers, or WPS Office) may result in formatting or functional issues. Each user is responsible for having a valid MS Office License to open the Excel templates.

The above list is not exclusive, and the same policy applies to similar cases. For all these cases, it remains the user’s responsibility to select the product they wish to purchase. If you have any questions about a product, please contact us prior to your purchase.

2. Custom Financial Modeling Services

We charge for the time spent on custom financial modeling projects. For custom financial modeling and consulting services, refunds may be considered only under the following conditions:

• A written request is submitted before any work has commenced.
• No work has started on the project yet.

Once the project has started or any part of the work has been completed or delivered, refunds are not possible anymore.

3. Checkout

We are a serious business and would like to avoid issues with our users. As such, we made sure to clarify and put important notes for the users before proceeding to checkout.

Most of our products offer FREE PDF versions, which we strongly recommend downloading before purchasing the editable Excel model template version. We also provided screenshots and detailed product descriptions to help understand the model structure of the model template(s). Contact us for any questions or if you need clarification.

On our checkout page, we prominently inform users to double-check the product in their cart and to check our Refund Policy before completing the transaction. The following disclaimer is displayed at the top of the checkout page:

4. Unauthorized or Fraudulent Transactions

If you believe your payment was unauthorized or fraudulent, please contact us immediately. We will work with you and the payment processor to investigate the transaction to solve the issue.

5. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback without contacting us first will be considered a violation of our refund policy. If a chargeback is filed without prior communication, we reserve the right to deny future access to our website and take appropriate legal action.

• All products are digital and non-returnable.
• Refunds will not be issued for buyer’s remorse, software incompatibility, preference dissatisfaction, or mistaken orders.
• Payments are credited directly to authors and cannot be reversed post-purchase.
• The responsibility lies with the user to assess product suitability before purchase.

In Good Faith

While refunds are not provided for invalid claims, we may work with users to:

• Offer a discount for re-purchasing the correct item (same vendor only)
• Help resolve technical issues by connecting the user with the original author
• Provide assistance for small customizations or guidance on use

These accommodations are provided at our discretion and are not guaranteed. However, we will do our best to accommodate our users to resolve issues accordingly.
