What it is

The Poultry Farm Financial Model is a transparent, unlocked Excel template to evaluate broiler or layer operations from idea to investor deck. By entering a few clearly highlighted assumptions (flock size, production cycles, feed conversion, mortality, prices, CAPEX/OPEX, financing), the model builds fully linked Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow plus an executive dashboard and investment KPIs. It is designed for founders, farm managers, consultants and lenders who need clear feasibility outputs and audit-friendly logic.

What you can do with it

  • Forecast revenues, costs, margins and cash flows across multiple years.
  • Plan CAPEX, working capital and operating headcount/inputs.
  • Evaluate investments using DCF (NPV), Project & Equity IRR, payback, and operating ratios.
  • For financing, size debt and equity and monitor DSCR/LLCR under different cases.
  • Present results cleanly via a print-ready dashboard and KPI cards.

FREE vs PRO

  • FREE (Lite): core feasibility with simplified 3-statement outputs and essential charts—perfect for quick validation and teaching.
  • PRO: extended schedules (CAPEX/OPEX, depreciation, working capital), debt & equity modules, scenario manager (base/optimistic/pessimistic), sensitivity matrices, and an executive dashboard suited for investor and lender reviews.

How to use

  1. Start on the Instructions/Welcome tab (legend & navigation).
  2. Enter assumptions: production type, flock/batch sizing, cycle lengths, FCR, mortality, unit prices, taxes.
  3. Add CAPEX and OPEX details; configure financing (debt terms, grace, amortization).
  4. Review the 3-statement outputs, cash waterfall, and KPIs.
  5. For PRO, run scenarios/sensitivities to answer “what-ifs” in investor meetings.
  6. Export the dashboard and summary to PDF.

Why you need it

This model streamlines feasibility analysis and fundraising. It’s auditable, unlocked, and modular, letting you tailor inputs without breaking formulas. The included User Guide speeds onboarding for teams and clients.
